It is also known as “the balcony of La Alpujarra”, being seemingly situated on an outcrop 1014m above sea level. The drive up to Cañar is breathtakingly beautiful and Casa Bella Vista certainly lives up to its name, having one of the most beautiful views over La Alpujarra and out to the coast. You can see the Mediterranean from the house and on a clear day, the Riff Mountains in Africa.

Cañar is a small but lively Spanish mountain village, with a population of about 400, 3 bars, a restaurant, pharmacy, bank, doctor’s surgery, village shop and post office (in someone’s house). It is renowned for its excellent fiestas of which there are several throughout the year. From Cañar you can drive another hour or so up to Puente Palo, which is a beautiful forested area with wonderful views, a burbling stream and picnic and BBQ areas, from there you can continue on to the very Spanish village of Sorpotujar.

The famous GR-7 walk runs right through the village of Cañar. It is also just a 15 minute drive down to the lively market town of Orgiva.

The house is 2-storey, large, spacious and comfortable and comprises:

4 bedrooms; 2 double and 2 twin

1 large living room with Italien, state of the art, renewable energy stove, TV (Spanish and English channels), DVD and CD player.

1 fully equipped kitchen

1 bathroom

1 cloakroom

Price:

High Season: 850 € per week; 190 € per day

Low Season: 650 € per week; 170 € per day

Additional Information:

High Season: July, August, Easter Christmas and Spanish bank holidays

Minimum stay: 1 week in July and August, 2 days the rest of the year.

This property is not suitable for unsupervised small children

A deposit will be required to confirm the reservation; the balance of the booking fee will need to be paid by guests on arrival, in cash.

The owners will also require a refundable deposit for damages, this will be returned in full, upon departure, provided that there are no damages.
